Thank You to everyone who came out and made the 1st annual festival a success!!!

Simply Music, Simply Mushrooms-Morel Festival
Next year's festival will be April17-19th, 2014.

Make plans today to attend the 2nd annual "Simply Music, Simply Mushrooms Morel Festival"     in beautiful Brown County, Indiana at the
Bill Monroe Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Campgrounds.

Brown County, Indiana is very well known throughout the morel mushroom hunting community. With our deep valleys, towering hills, and 90% of the county covered by forestry, there is no shortage of places to search for the elusive morel. This event will be a celebration of morels, music, family & friends. We look forward to seeing you at the 1st annual "Simply Music, Simply Mushrooms-Morel Festival".

Things to bring

This is where it gets tricky. Indiana weather is impossible to predict. We definitely reccommend bringing you best cold weather gear, and as with any outdoor activity...dress in layers. It has been known to rain here during April, so a good parka, or any other wet weather gear, will make your trip more enjoyable. Whenever morel hunting, it is always best to have a mesh bag of some sort to allow the spores to spread while you are hunting.

If camping, bring the necesseties: Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat/air mattress, tarps etc. Plenty of clothes and socks. Waterproof boots are a must. If you plan on hunting morels in Brown County, eventually you will get your feet wet.

Camp chairs-Not only for the late night campfire jams and "fishing stories", but also to enjoy some of the world class music that will be playing throughout the event on the main stage at the Bluegrass Park.
